Experimental Atomic, Molecular, & Optical Physics
We study cryogenic buffer-gas cooling and laser spectroscopy to study ultracold atomic and molecular physics, with an emphasis on:- anisotropic atomic collisions
- molecular collisions
- atom and molecular spin dynamics & spin coherence
- coherent interaction of light with atomic gases
- ultracold chemistry
Through a collaboration with Los Alamos National Lab, we also study:
- atomic Bose-Einstein condensates
- ultracold radioactive atoms
